Compassionate dental care for unique needs
We know how hard it can be to find a dentist who understands the needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and treats every patient with compassion. That’s why the Mercer Center for IDD Care has partnered with the Dental College of Georgia to offer dental services designed especially for adults with IDD.
From cavities and gum disease to abscesses and tooth pain, you’ll receive the same high-quality dental care as anyone else—with the added attention and support you deserve.
Because dental visits can sometimes feel overwhelming, we take extra steps to help you or your loved one feel comfortable. Our team offers sensory-friendly features like noise reduction, softer lighting and desensitization programs to ease anxiety.
If mobility is a concern, we’ll be there to assist with safe transfers and make any special arrangements needed. Every patient should feel welcome, respected, and cared for during their visit.
